It's easy to understand how many would consider the spring and summer seasons to be the most popular time for a solar installation. The sun does shine much longer.
However, there is actually a not-so-popular fact that autumn is THE best time to consider installing solar.
Let us give you a couple of practical reasons.
Shorter waiting time
It is true that spring and summer are the most popular seasons for going solar. So, it's easy to imagine that solar retailers have their hands full and their install customer list overflowing around this time of the year, right? This means anyone who orders an install right around the middle of summer will have to wait a bit longer -- and maybe end up having their install done in autumn.
On the other hand, those who apply for solar in the autumn will notice a much shorter waiting time because solar retailers are more likely to have less installs scheduled.
So, why wait all throughout spring and summer to get your install when you can have it done faster around autumn. You'll just have to wait a bit longer but it'll be worth it.
Get ready for winter savings
A lot of people would say that there's less energy generation during autumn and winter because there’s more cloudy days and less time for the sun to shine. And that’s true.
However, solar actually generates a decent amount of energy during winter enough to work your heating system. You might have to rely on grid energy during the night but still, being able to generate energy during the day is a big deal when you look at the s-a-v-i-n-g-s.
If it’s your goal to have solar installation anyway, then doing it soon would be best. The sooner you go solar, the sooner you can enjoy its many benefits.
