MV Solar Recognised Again

UPPER Hunter solar power specialists MV Solar have had a turbulent year, but recent recognition has proven they still put the customer first.

On Friday, April 9, the family business was awarded the Trades and Industries, small, award at the Muswellbrook Chamber of Commerce and Industry Awards night at the Muswellbrook RSL Club.

“We are very proud to have our hard work and passion acknowledged yet again by the Muswellbrook Chamber of Commerce and Industry,” MV Solar business development manager Karen Portolan said.

The Upper Hunter is suffering in some respects at the moment, and along with a number of businesses MV Solar are feeling this. But the Denman based operation has maintained a focus on customer service and ensuring that we maintain our professionalism in all their dealings.

“We have felt first-hand how hard business can get, and we hear it from our customers too,” Mrs Portolan said.

“We have decided to try and do our bit in the community to help support the community and other businesses, this is where the idea for out Keep it Local campaign came from.

“On our website we have brief profiles of businesses who have pledged to Keep it Local.”

While keeping positive amongst the downturn here, MV Solar have also been tested off-shore.

The MV Solar Fiji office completed its first installation earlier in the year, only to be impacted by Cyclone Winston in February.

Having seen the appreciation for solar power, and the devastation caused by the natural disaster, MV Solar owner Michael Valantine has launched the Repower Fiji campaign.

“To show our commitment to the area we now consider a second home, we have been seeking support for our Repower Fiji campaign,” Mrs Portolan said.

“Along with some of our product suppliers, and with support from other organisations, our aim is to put in a number of solar power systems across the island nation to help them get back on their feet.”
